St. Regis Bal Harbour
A rising star in the pastry world, Chef Bachour hails from Puerto Rico and his interest in pastry began with the family bakery. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University and arrived in Miami Beach in 2001 as executive pastry chef at Talula. He went on to positions at Devito South Beach and Scarpetta in Miami and New York, and in 2009 joined the opening team at the W South Beach Hotel. Bachour was named one of the 2011 "Top 10 Pastry Chefs in America" by Dessert Professional Magazine, and a finalist in the 2011 International Chef Congress Pastry Competition. His desserts have been featured in Gourmet Magazine and Alan Battman's dessert cookbooks, and he will publish his first self-titled dessert cookbook in November, 2013.
